SEO & Online Marketing MeetingsWith the demise of ThreadWatch and the move away from public forums to personal blogs and private forums, there is a need for a place where SEOers and online marketing people can find out who is meeting where, when and the nature of that event, ie big paid-for conferences or smaller, more personal "unofficial" meets. SeoCircuit was created to meet this need. So, whether you are looking to organise a meeting for 100 like-minded individuals over a few pints, or whether you are at a loose-end after a business trip and just want to avoid sitting in a strange hotel in a strange city - this forum welcomes your post. If you wish to organise a "fringe" meeting as an extra to your attending a large conference - this is the place to post. |

I may well be able to arrange a city centre venue for presentation type stuff/seminar if it's wanted.

Thanks for the offer Psychobel.
These meetings are 'presentation free' events - we miss out all the formal stuff that the big conferences normally do and just go straight to the 'bar' bits where all the really useful stuff happens ![]() We are hoping to confirm that we have booked a decent sized pub room for our saturday session - should be confirmed within the next 48 hours - watch this space. |

Hey guys, I might join you for one of the nights, probably Saturday! Went to the LondonSEO by the sea event a few weeks ago and it was a really good bash...

Ok Guys - here we go....
Meeting in the hotel bar on friday any time from early evening onwards for drinks before setting off for the.... Friday Night Meal: 8.00-8.30pm Sam's Chop House http://samsmanchester.thevictorianchophousecompany.com/ This is 5-10 mins walking distance from the hotel This is a very popular venue, and consequently someone (probably me) will have to lay out a sizablew deposit for the booking - so if you have RSVP'd and find you can't make it please let me know as soon as possible. If you haven't RSVP'd and want to attend, please do it soon. Saturday 14.00 We have booked the upstairs bar of 'The Ape and Apple' for the whole afternoon: http://www.timeout.com/manchester/gu...Ape_Apple.html Its a straightforward Manchester boozer with decent beer at £1.62 a pint. They serve meals as well - not tested the meals, expect it to be standard pub fare. The upstairs bar has access to a small outside roof garden-thingy for the smokers amongst you. It is also 5-10 mins walking distance from the hotel. Saturday Night Meal 7.30-8.00pm The Ikan Restaurant - Thai and Oriental Its on the same road as the Hotel. Their website is down at the moment, but it may well reappear on http://www.ikanmanchester.com, when they get it sorted. (NB. I have first dibs on pitching for redeveloping if they still have problems )After that, its back to the hotel to hit the bar again. |

The hotel is on Portland St - which leads off from one end of Piccadilly Gardens.
Piccadilly railway station is a short walk away - short enough for a taxi driver to either tell you 'sod off', or drive you round the city for half an hour and rip you off ![]() If you are arriving at Manchester Airport there is a train station at the airport and a 30minute train journey direct to Piccadilly station. Anyone needing help or further information, send me a PM. |
